Drum Pumps

The function of a drum pump is to transport a number of different fluids, processed by a pump powered by various methods such as electric, hand operated and hydraulic pumps. Using Drum Pumps, Carboys & Containers are quickly filled or emptied without spills or splashes. Many different Drum Pump models and pump tube lengths are available to agree with diverse customer requirements.

Drum/barrel pumps in varying sizes and constructions are offered to safely and efficiently transfer acids, chemicals, solvents and high viscosity fluids. Drum Pumps are characterized by its versatility and efficiency. The application versatility in our drum pumps have opened up new dimensions of economical employment of drum pumps using a safe method for what can be in certain industries a dangerous task if working with any flammable or corrosive fluids.

Hand operation of drum pumps requires handles, levers, or plungers to begin dispensation of the fluid, and should be operated by correctly trained staff members with the desired safety equipment. Double action drum pumps permit the fluid to be transported on the front and back or up and down stroke of the handle or lever.

In automated fluid transfer processes in industries such as in the chemical, water, marine, and/or the paper industries, drum pumps may be mounted on sizeable tanks and may move corrosive media, cleaning solutions, salt water, or slurries to storage tanks or treatment systems. Accessories such as hoses, nozzles, suction pipe, security systems, gates, and strainers may be essential for the purpose.
