Mono Pumps

Mono Pumps or Progressive cavity pumps are pumps in which fluid passes within a machine/mechanism, at a fixed flow rate. One of the many advantages of mono pumps are that they can be used in a various number of applications for both high and low flowing applications. The way in which mono pumps function is using a singular or multistaged screw to handle the passing fluids in a continuous motion to transport the contents of the pump and ensure it travels to its destination fast and effectively. All the parts of the mono pump such as the shaft seal and bearing assembly must be the correct applications to match the appropriate machinery around it otherwise problems will occur through the process.

When choosing materials for mono pumps, as with many other components the user must ensure that the type of liquid to be pumped and the components of the pump that are in connection with the fluid are compatible. Any gaps or loose fittings can cause damage to the machinery in question and/or the product being manufactured.

Hygienic or corrosion resistant materials may be needed for the stator; you may wish to consider neoprene, rubber, or plastics for the mono pump in order to maintain a fully functioning cavity pump mechanism. The housing or other mono pump materials may be stainless steel, iron, bronze, titanium, or other alloy which is again all dependant on the products used in conjunction with these parts.
